ART CONCERTS continues its world tour with MONUMENTAL OPERAS: Beginning 23rd of april the CARMEN MONUMENTAL OPERA will first of all guest in three metropolises of the European east. This will be in Budapest (23rd April), Kosice (24th April) and Prague (26th april). The next tour stations will be in Germany: in SAP Arena Mannheim and Rothaus Arena Freiburg on 26th and 29th of april. The spring tour will end with two AIDA MONUMENTAL OPERA shows: on 30rd of april in the St. Jakobshalle in Basel and 1st of may in the Rockhal in Luxembourg.

 

On October 25^th, the ART CONCERTS production "AID MONUMENTAL OPERA ON FIRE" has been awarded with the Luna Award 2007 for the best best classical-performance in 2007.

Already in 2005 this renowend award has been merited to ART CONCERTS, back then for the production CARMINA BURANA MONUMENTAL OPERA and the great success in Mexico.

The new south-american-tour of AIDA MONUMENTAL OPERA will start on  October 17^th 2007. That. ist the first time for an european production to guest in four different countries of South America. More than 25 shows will be performed between the October 17^th and November 18^th in Santiago de Chile, Sao Paulo, Montevideo and Buenos Aires.
More than 60.000 visitors are expected in Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires, 15.000 in Montevideo and 20.000 in Buenos Aires.

With three celebrated performances in Spain, the Aida Monumental Opera has continued its Worldtour and has visited about 30 cities in South America and Europe.

Art Concerts had not expected the ambiance to be so naturalistic at the first open air show of the Aida Monumental Opera, which dispite the sandstorm above Abu Dhabi had still become a triumphal success. The show was held in the garden of the magical seven star hotel Emirates Palace, the most expensice hotel in the world. Flags and video screens all over the hotel area demonstrated that the Aida Monumental Opera was a central point of the opening ceremonies of the hotel. 

Because of the weather conditions the sold out show had to start on delay and finished so after midnight - celebrated with overwelming apllause and standing ovations for ten minutes.

On March 29^th 2007 the AIDA MONUMENTAL OPERA will be performed in the gardens of the world-famous Emirates Palace Hotel.

The marvelous opening night of the European tour took place at the almost sold out Patinoire Meriadeck. The French audience enjoyed an unforgettable evening full of exceptional moments and was enthralled by the impressive atmosphere of the production.

Currently, the final rehearsals for the European opening night that will be staged on Thursday are taking place in Bordeaux. Within the next six weeks until the end of the year the tour will visit 22 cities.

In the Patinoire Meriadeck (Bordeaux), the European opening night is expected with eagerness. At the moment, the stage, the technique and equipment is on route by sea way from Mexico....

In the last two weeks, in total 30.000 visitors saw the performances of AIDA in Mexico. After a great opening night, the oldest love story of the world was also seen in Torreón and in three nearly sold out performances in the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City.

On August 5^th 2006, the more than 30 tons heavy equipment, stage setting, requisites and costumes were shipped from Rome to the mexican harbour Altamira. Afterwards, 13 trucks will transport the equipment the last 450 km to Monterrey.

The official preview May 30^th 2006 in the Ballhausforum in Unterschleißheim/Munich for 400 exclusively invited guests. More than 20 international promoters and over 100 journalists from all over the world will come for this event.

The rehearsals for the preview of AIDA MONUMENTAL OPERA ON FIRE have been taking place since May 15^th 2006 in Unterschleißheim/Munich. Over 300, who are taking part here, have come from all over the world and are working around the clock for the first performance.
